Lewd – Loyal – Sidetracked

“His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.

For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love.”

II Peter 1:3-7

I’ve been sidetracked away from my original intention to post about the ‘voluptuous’ woman and the ‘virtuous’ woman. Last week, I was sidetracked by comments. However, I am thankful for the opportunity to break from regular stuff to really think through some of my responses – it was a good thing for me. However, this week, I’m working (not my usual routine) and then we’re with family at their campsite every night.

So, I’d like some of your thoughts for the first contrast… SHE IS LEWD(Proverbs 6:24; 2:17). SHE IS LOYAL (Proverbs 31:11). I’m slightly stuck in my thinking as far as lewd. Not that I don’t know what it means, but I’m trying to make the appropriate contrast for Lewd/Loyal based on the excellent chart already posted (not my own creation!). What say you?

In the meantime, I’ll keep looking at it, but I’m not sure when I can get a respectable post up.
