Chris couldn’t get in to La Barra, but La Barra came to him!!!

It’s hard to keep up with Chris’ updates, but we’re thankful to get them. It sounds like Chris and the other two men are having a great opportunity to teach the new believers from LaBarra despite the protests of the leaders of the town. Here’s the latest…

Hey everyone!

You guys are getting the day by day going and comings of this trip! God is still on His Plan A while we are on our plan AA or BB. I thank God for His sovereignty and the way He works! Thank you all for your prayers and emails and support!

Yesterday we had a big thunder and rain storm when the believers were to come to Huatulco and have a meeting here with us. We agreed they would have not come. Little did we know that they did come in the rain and after a few phone calls, we were back at the church from the email cafe to visit and encourage the believers. We were able to meet the new professing believers, Endofonso (Inocenta’s husband) and Fidel, another man from La Barra. We are hoping to still meet Briseda’s husband Luis, another professing believer! God is working great things for His name in La Barra!

We planned last night with all of them to have daily meetings for discipleship training a town away from LA Barra. The plan is, that is OUR plan is, to meet each morning around 10AM to go through 1 Thessalonians and 1 Timothy. We will also be going back into Acts with the first church and the planting of the church’s in many places. The planting of the churches in chapters 16 and 17 of Acts hit home to La Barra. Please pray for these meetings and pray for George, Irian and I as we plan these Bible studies with the believers. Pray the Lord will open eyes to His Word and the believers will grow! Pray for these MEN to see the need to take charge and lead this small group, yet a AWESOME group, of believers in La Barra. The congregation of La Barra de la Cruz. Oh it brings tears to my eyes as I write and see it. It is here and growing my brothers and sisters! Keep the prayers coming!

Miss you all greatly! Thank you again so much for you prayers and your support! Again, your scars are on your hands from holding the rope and lowering me into the well. May God bless you for the desire for His churches to be planted and grow!

Colossians 4:2-4 “Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison— that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak.”

Thank you again!

1 Thessalonians 1:2-3 ” We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers, remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.”

For His Glory!

Chris Johnson
