Ezra update

Ezra is 7 months old today!

It has been three months since we received our referral and one month since we passed court. The paperwork in Ethiopia has been completed and mailed to our agency, who should be getting it early next week. That paperwork consists of Ezra’s new birth certificate with us listed as his parents, his new passport, recent medical information, the court decree that gave Ezra to us and probably some other miscellaneous info. The next step is that we submit the official documents with a form to the USCIS (Immigration) for processing. I don’t know how long the processing will take, but when it’s done, a visa for Ezra will be issued in the US Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. At that point, Ezra can be escorted home.

So…I don’t really know how much longer this baby boy will remain in Ethiopia or when we’ll get to hold him. I am content in the Lord for the timing and know that He does all things well!
