Home Visit for Homestudy is SATURDAY!

I’m finishing up the cleaning for the social worker’s visit on Saturday! I don’t know exactly what she will be looking for. She said ‘Safety and Space’ when I asked. Well, we have enough space and I think things are safe, but you never know. But will she be opening closet doors, looking through the junk drawer in the kitchen or under the kids’ beds?? Argh!

And as far as the adoption goes, here’s the update:

Some things to do:
Home meeting with Social Worker 6/9
Compile notarized letters of reference.
Get notarized documents state certified.
Make tons of copies.
File I-600a
FBI Fingerprinting

Pick up notarized bank letter
Finish homestudy questionnaire.
Fill out resource page.
Get fingerprinted
Get fingerprinted again for a different clearance
Call the county clerk about notarization.
Figure out how to get Dr.’s sig. notarized.

First meeting with Social Worker 5/15
Kiddos’ Physicals
Our Physicals – May 29th

We are probably a month or less from sending our dossier to the agency, but it might be longer. And then it goes to Ethiopia and then we wait. There are some built-in waiting times in the process, but so far, I’m ok with waiting. We know that the Lord has full control and we are excited to see where he will take us!
